Just got back from vacation and I'm already having withdrawals. To think that this trip almost didn't happen. We were originally supposed to go to South Africa this year but a picture of Plitvice Lakes sold us on Croatia. Istanbul was an extended layover because we flew with Turkish Airlines.
Traveling through Croatia was like a dream, a step into the pages of a fairytale. Walking the streets of Istanbul was like stepping through the pages of a really well-written and well-illustrated history book. Although the trip was exhausting, it was well worth it. This trip is definitely one for the books.

I would definitely go back to Croatia. Maybe visit other parts and stay a bit longer in Hvar. As for Istanbul, or Turkey for that matter, it deserves a separate trip all on its own.
Has the travel bug bitten you yet? XOXO
